ABOUT THIS ALBUM: Cantabile was founded in 1996 under Artistic Director Dr. Mark Sirett. Under Dr. Sirett’s leadership, Cantabile has grown into one of the largest choral organizations in Canada, comprising of 7 choirs and over 250 choristers. In celebration of Cantabile’s 25th anniversary, and recognition of Dr. Sirett’s years of dedication, this album was produced as a farewell gift to Dr. Sirett as he moves on from Cantabile and turns his artistic concentration toward composition.

CANTABILE PRO CORO: Cantabile Pro Coro was established in autumn 2020. The choir is an ad hoc ensemble comprised of some of the finest choral singers from across Ontario, assembled for special projects such as this recording. The ensemble is dedicated to the works of Canadian composers, profiling the rich and diverse landscape of choral art in Canada.
